One Woman Protest

Sunday was a day for protests. Palestinians protesting actions taking place in Gaza. The Palestinians in Jerusalem decided to go on strike. And here we see this lone Israeli woman blocking traffic in the old city - by caring an Israeli flag walking slowly down the middle of the street, singing and laughing while eveyone else behind her honked their horns. Were they protesting her for slowing traffic or joining her in her protest?

Scenes from the Old City

Sights in the old city, group of school-children playing around some ruins, a view across the Kidron Valley, a street view inside the old city, Jewish Quarter.

Jerusalem and the Kotel

The Judean hills puts the Ozarks and the Appalachians to shame. And even the strike by the Palestinians this Sunday, closing most of the shops in the "Old City" didn't ruin one bit of our joy.

The Kotel. Left side - reserved for men only. Archway seen at the left is the entrance to the synagogue

Alex me and Erez (r-l) at the Kotel. Pic taken after we layed Tefillin and said morning prayers. It was a rewarding time being there together at that moment.
